Friendships & Art & Exhibitions
I wanted to take a moment to talk about something that matters to all of us: friendship. Lately I’ve been particularly moved by the encouragement, support and kindness I’ve experienced from my close friends in the lead up to my forthcoming show. It’s come in all sorts of guises: a chance remark over coffee; encouragement to keep painting and finish work for a deadline; and sometimes simply not mentioning art at all, but quietly chatting on the train. These seemingly small things can mean so much. So I want to say a huge thank you. You really are quite extraordinary – as well as being extremely talented – and I feel blessed to have you in my life.
And now to Exhibition news…
Those of you reading this in Cambridge may have seen the wonderful article in the September issue of Velvet Magazine about the group exhibition, Stillness & Strength, an invitation to pause, look more closely and discover new meanings within each work.
In this show I’ll be featuring new oil paintings alongside work by Jill Ogilvy, Sue Law and Deanna Tyson as we explore our connection with the natural world.
